The advertising slogan for Tasmania is "A world apart. Not a world away." It is, after all, only a short trip across Bass Strait from Melbourne, made easy with a car ferry...not to mention the same language and currency!!!

Apart from a wedding and a few triathlons I hadn't been to Tassie for over 25 years when our family trip was virtually washed out. So I was long overdue to visit the "apple isle" and spend some time seeing the beautiful sights it has to offer.
